The course has something to offer beginners and experienced players. The holes range from 79 yards to 170 yards in length. The total length of the course is 1136 yards, and the pin could vary. Pros can challenge their skills on the seven water hazards that surround the lovely greens and fairways. Since the course is set in a recreation area popular with families, the JDF grounds welcomes kids and families looking to enjoy the game in a friendly environment. There are no tee times, so beginners feel more than welcome in the relaxed, regulation-free golf course. Rental Information

The JDF golf course is located at 1767 Old Island Highway, Colwood, BC, about ten kilometers from Victoria. The course is open to avid golfers from Monday to Sunday from dawn to dusk. While bookings are on a first come first serve basis, some tee time reservations can be made online. Club rentals according to 2014/2015 tariffs range from $10 in winter to $14.25 in summer for adults, with extra rounds costing $9.75 in winter and $10 in summer. Families of up to 4 members can enjoy rates of $30 in winter and $38 in summer, with two adults allowed anytime nine holes. Young golfers between eight and sixteen years can also enjoy the game at rentals of $9.50 in both seasons. A Winter Pass for $250 will allow you unlimited golf on weekdays.

Specials and Tournament Packages

Regular golfers can buy punch cards of ten rounds and get one round free. Punch cards cost between $100 to $142 depending on the season. Early birds who tee off before 9 AM enjoy a discount. Young golfers younger than sixteen can also buy punch cards for $95. The golf course also allows bookings for group events such as family reunions, corporate tournaments etc. as long as there are at least 24 or 36 golfers in the group. Tournament packages include catering and banquet facilities provided by the Kinsmen Fieldhouse nearby. The stunning location, a great catering menu that could include BBQ burgers, chicken/salmon/steak or roasted AAA prime rib buffets, and a friendly yet challenging course could make for a memorable event.
