If you were going to learn to play golf, Juan de Fuca would fit the bill. This course is operated by West Shore Parks & Recreation and is located in Colwood. This fine little course has everything a larger course might have. There's water galore, a bit of sand and some darn trees that might get in the way. The course is well drained and can be played year round. The golf course is part of Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre; a large recreation complex including 2 ice arenas, a curling rink, swimming pool, public library, soccer and softball fields, and lawn bowling greens.

Green fees: Summer (April 1 to September 30) - $12.75 for your first round
Winter (October 1 to March 31)- $9.25
$9.00 for each additional round on the same day
